Editorial standards
Explain the mechanism. Show the source.
Research and claims
Historical dates, technical descriptions, credits, quotations, and disputed origin claims require sources that directly support the wording. When reliable accounts disagree, the article names the disagreement instead of forcing a single answer.
Writing
Articles use clear American English and explain specialist vocabulary in context. Detail must help the reader hear, compare, or understand something specific. Generic significance claims, promotional adjectives, invented authority, and repeated summary paragraphs are removed during the mandatory anti-AI editorial pass.
Original audio
Interactive examples are produced for Knowledge without third-party samples unless a future article documents a separate license. Each example includes a plain-language listening description and a non-interactive fallback.
Images
Generated images are labeled as AI-generated editorial illustrations. They use anonymous contemporary subjects and are never presented as photographs of historical people or events.
Corrections
Substantive corrections receive a dated note. Quiet copy edits may improve clarity without changing the article's evidence or conclusion.
